Deal alert: $367 flights from US cities to Portugal

With many of the deals we spotlight, there is a somewhat limited travel window. This is why we’re excited about this sweet new sale on fares to Portugal.

There is a wide range of availability for traveling to the popular European destination. Some flights to Lisbon and Porto from U.S. departure cities like New York, San Francisco and Washington are more than half off normal prices.

This deal is for basic economy fares, so you can expect to pay between $30 and $35 each way to check luggage.  With most airlines, you’ll get a free carry-on bag, so if you travel light, it could save you some money.

The best availability for this deal is for travel from September through November, as well as from January through July 2023.

Big thanks to Scott’s Cheap Flights for alerting us to this deal. Its Premium membership is available for $49 per year, while the Elite option is available for $199 per year. The latter offers access to deals on premium economy, business- and first-class tickets.

As always, if you’re flexible with your travel plans, you’ll typically find better prices.

What about Lisbon deals, you ask? If you live in the Midwest, you can fly United out of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) in early February for $367 round-trip. With United’s most restrictive fare, you get a free carry-on, but a checked bag will cost you $75 each way.
